Accounting for the amortization of tangible assets of a professional training center: Case study of the Integrated Training Center of Talatona 2022

This Study dealt with the accounting for the amortization of tangible fixed assets, taking as a case study the Talatona Integrated Training Center, so we intended to evaluate the accounting for the amortization of the Talatona vocational training center, in Luanda, comparing with the standards of the General Plan of Angola Accounting. Explain accounting, as well as its amortization accounting techniques, as it is an instrument that allows managers to make the best decisions, based on more in-depth information about the company's situation. To do this, we used books by authors related to the topic under analysis as a basis, as well as documents associated with the Professional Training Center. Starting with a theoretical approach to accounting that will give fundamental notions about it, and then the presentation of depreciation calculation techniques that deal with Angolan standards for accounting for fixed assets as well as depreciation recording methods, and finally the studies of amortization accounting carried out at the Integrated Technological Training Center where amortization management maps for selected items were presented, and we compared them with the theories and standards linked to amortization accounting. As a result, the Center calculates amortizations in accordance with the constant quotas suggested by art. 27 of the CII and by the PGCA, and records depreciation correctly using accounts 18 and 73. In short, correct accounting of amortization is essential for effective asset management.
