Abstract

This article aims at comprehending the challenges within the high education in Mozambique in the 21st century. Education challenges vary as per time and place. The needs of a country have a total influence on education, especially higher education. What is the major challenge of the high education in Mozambique in the 21st century? Through scientific research, a study was conducted in order to figure out the current situation concerning the challenges of the high education in Mozambique; the major tools used to make this research possible were the hermeneutic and document research. In response to the research after a very critical analysis on the challenges of the high education in Mozambique in the 21st century, it’s a fact to conclude that the major challenges of the high education is to train technically qualified human resources as furniture for the work market either for the public or private sector and training citizens who are able to self-administrate, train citizens on life skills for their daily basis life for their wellbeing, training citizens who are independent and able to move on with their lives for their own prosperity as well as for the whole country.
