A static analysis of the financial structure of Angolan banking institutions in the period of 2022 (BAI, BPC, and BFA)

Abstract

The present work arises from the progressive need to analyze the financial structure of the three main banking financial institutions in Angola during the period of 2022, in order to obtain the result among the three institutions which one had the best positioning in financial terms in that year in analysis. . Therefore, the analogy of the calculated indicators allowed us to conclude, on the one hand, that the institutions under analysis demonstrated a certain financial capacity to honor their short-term commitments. In other words, there is immediate liquidity. On the other hand, BAI has an acceptable ability to honor its current commitments, the same cannot be said of BFA, which did not achieve the same feat in 2022. It was also concluded that the two companies invest more using capital other than their own capital. But BFA has greater financial autonomy compared to BAI as it presented the highest indicator. On the other hand, it was noticed that the equity capital of the institutions under analysis has an excellent capacity to cover their tangible and financial assets throughout the year under analysis. In general, it was possible to perceive and identify that the Angolan banking financial institution for the year 2022 that had the best financial structure was BFA at the most satisfactory levels.
