The present study seeks to analyze aspects related to the importance of working capital management to assist in the development of Small and Medium-sized Companies, taking into account their great social and economic contribution to Mozambique. To this end, quantitative and qualitative approaches were combined, which allowed analyzing and comparing ideas on issues related to the importance of working capital management in small and medium-sized companies and in the case study. To this end, data obtained in interviews and financial statements provided by the company 5L Trading, Lda were used. The results of the study demonstrated that SMEs are not giving due importance to working capital management, therefore, associated with other factors, their rates of Mortality and insolvency rates increase every day, with working capital management being an extremely important financial management tool for the development of working capital. working capital.
