Abstract

The Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID) Equity acts as an essential tool in teacher training, connecting theory and practice in the context of Rural Education. This study reports the experiences of undergraduate students from the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR) at the Leopoldo Jacomel Rural Municipal School, located in the Matulão community in Tijucas do Sul. The objective is to analyze the impact of including scholarship holders in the daily life of multigrade classes and the structural challenges they face, such as precarious school transportation and access difficulties. The methodology, based on school immersion and activities aligned with the Political-Pedagogical Project (PPP), included the Boquinha Method for literacy, practical use of geometric figures, experiences in the school garden, implementation of the Red Bench for social awareness, and the development of a community theater. The results demonstrate that the approximation between the university and the school generates mutual growth, where students experience meaningful learning that dialogues with their local knowledge. At the same time, future educators develop a critical, empathetic posture committed to social transformation. In conclusion, PIBID Equity reaffirms its commitment to inclusive and transformative education, strengthening pedagogical practices and the identity of rural peoples.
