The study addresses: Factors Associated with the High Dropout Rate at Chidenguele Secondary School in the 2022 Academic Year, whose general objective was to: understand the factors associated with the high dropout rate at Chidenguele Secondary School. The study was carried out at the Chidenguele Secondary School in the 2022 to 2024 academic year. A qualitative approach was used, with information being collected through semi-structured interviews addressed to, Students, Parents and/or Education Persons, Teachers, Pedagogical Managers. The research was developed through the following questions: What are the factors that contribute to the high dropout rate at Chidenguele Secondary School? What is the conception of, students, parents and/or guardians regarding, teachers, pedagogical managers the consequences of dropping out of school? What are the ways of retaining students at Chidenguele Secondary School? What strategies can be adopted to reduce the high dropout rate at Chidenguele Secondary School? According to the research results, it is concluded that the factors that contributed to the high dropout rate at Chidenguele Secondary School are: institutional factors related to the distance between the school and the student's residence, low awareness of students graduating to the your future; lack of scholarships for needy students; poor follow-up of students on the verge of giving up. Individual factors related to the student's lack of dedication, eraly pregnancies, unions, drug and alcohol consumption, and the need to start working. Family factores: related to the financial inability of parents and guardians to purchase the cost of school transport for their students.
