Influence of motivation strategies on the professional performance of the police of the Republic of Mozambique: case of affected members in the Unidade Canina (2021-2023)

This article addresses the situation of motivation of members of the police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), the objective is to evaluate the influence of motivation strategies adopted by the General Command on the professional performance of service members in the Unidade Canina. The study is of a qualitative and descriptive nature, to obtain the data, interview techniques and documentary research were used and the subjects participating in the research, are 19 among women and men members of the PRM in service in the Canine Unit selected using the technique for intentional convenience, therefore, with this method, results were obtained that show the existence and implementation of different working conditions, such as recognition and appreciation of work, continuous training, in addition to integration actions and strengthening of team spirit, in this context, the conclusion was reached according to which with the efforts of the reforms in motivation policies at the level of the general command of the PRM in improving working conditions, positively influence professional performance, however, it is suggested the need to adopt structured programs aimed at providing even better working conditions, in order to raise the motivation of professionals.
